Supporters of Dr. James Dobson of “Focus on the Family” had asked Dobson’s supporters to pray for a huge storm to hit Denver. The storm was to hit on the occasion of Sen. Barack Obama’s acceptance of the Democratic nominee for president before 80,000 delegates at the open-air Pepsi Center.
Dobson, who was not supporting McCain, now says he may throw his support to him because he selected a “pro-life” running mate.
With his forced cancellation or drastically reduced Republican Convention because of the expected “worse-than-Katrina” hurricane, McCain might want to try and get Dobson to throw his support behind Obama. Dobson’s track record for getting God to do what he wants doesn’t seem all that good.
